("Barr") City of New Brighton ("City") <br />Designated Representative: Designated Representative: <br />Julia Maceikovic Craia Schlichtin <br />I. Scope Language <br />Provide professional consulting services to implement treatability testing that will be described in the <br />report titled "Technology Screening Report and Treatability Testing Work Plan" (Work Plan) currently <br />being prepared by Barr. That report will be submitted for City review and concurrence prior to <br />initiation of testing. The purpose of treatability testing is to provide scientific and engineering data <br />required to support Barr's professional evaluation, analysis, and recommendation of a preferred <br />technology for treatment of 1,4 -dioxane at Client's Water Treatment Plant 1 (WTP1). The testing will <br />also provide information that is critical to the design of the full-scale modifications to WTP1. <br />The scope of Barr's services will include, but is not necessarily limited to: <br />a. Provision of all equipment and materials required for testing including proprietary equipment <br />supplied by vendors that are the primary subject of evaluation, proprietary equipment <br />supplied by vendors to simulate existing plant treatment processes and installation of <br />temporary pumps, piping, electrical systems, waste and drains systems, and other systems in <br />City's current facilities; <br />b. Operation of test equipment to carry out tests anticipated in Work Plan; <br />c. Sample collection, sample shipping, laboratory analyses, data quality review, and data <br />management; <br />d. Coordination with City staff and other City vendors (e.g. chemical suppliers, controls <br />professionals) that client desires to involve independently; <br />e. Evaluation and analysis of test results; and <br />f.
