d�ty of <br />ZMNEW <br />virmurm PROCLAMATION <br />WHEREAS Jeanne Balfanz, joined the City New Brighton on June 18, 1998; and <br />WHEREAS During the course of her 17 years of service, Jeanne has served Parks and <br />Recreation as the Facility Use Coordinator; and <br />WHEREAS Jeanne began her career with the City of New Brighton working 25 hours a <br />week, moving to 35 hours a week when the neighborhood centers were built <br />and to full-time status in 2015; and <br />WHEREAS During her career Jeanne has served under the direction of 3 Mayors, 2 <br />City Managers, 3 Parks and Recreation Directors, and 6 Supervisors; and <br />WHEREAS During the course of her 17 years of service, Jeanne has made over 43, 000 <br />facility reservations at the New Brighton Community Center, Neighborhood <br />Centers, and Brightwood Hills Clubhouse, generating over $2,400,000 in <br />revenue for the City. She has been a part of the room improvements and <br />upgrades to the New Brighton Community Center, added rental facilities, <br />including the neighborhood centers and added tenants, including the <br />Ramsey County Library in New Brighton; and <br />WHEREAS Jeanne maintained a balance of work and family by spending quality time <br />with her husband Steve, two daughters, two son -in-laws and two grandsons, <br />extended family, friends and church; and <br />WHEREAS Jeanne leaves the City to begin a new passage of her life called retirement, <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, in recognition of her 17 years of service to the citizens <br />of New Brighton, members of the Parks and Recreation staff and all other City staff, we <br />designate Jeanne Balfanz an Ambassador of the City of New Brighton, and offer our sincerest <br />congratulations to: <br />Jeanne Balfanz <br />and extend our heartfelt thanks, and our fondest wishes for a happy, healthy, and extremely long <br />retirement. <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my <br />hand and caused the Seal of the City of New <br />Brighton, Minnesota to be affixed this 8th day of <br />September, 2015. <br />Dave Jacobsen - Mayor <br />
