The new CAD and records systems are still moving along and now we will be going to <br />eCitations on July 1. <br />Notable events include the shooting in May where finding the suspect was a challenge but he <br />was arrested and charged; there was a stabbing in June; and there was a significant structure fire <br />in Wexford Heights that started in the garage. The fire was extinguished and there were no <br />injuries. <br />Council Liaison <br />A. Council Report <br />Council Member Brian Strub noted at the June 23 council meeting, the purchase of a new Fire <br />Truck 494 was passed. <br />On June 9, the city enacted water conservation measures. People can check the city's web site <br />for more information and there are also signs posted throughout the city. <br />Council Member Strub stated his role/goal as liaison to this commission is to listen to the <br />commission. He asks the Public Safety Commissioners to be advocates for fire and police; ask <br />tough questions and provide oversite. <br />Old Business <br />A. No report. <br />New Business <br />Commissioner Anderson and Commissioner Eichers both reported areas where signs are covered <br />up by bushes or trees. These will be forwarded to Public Works to remedy. <br />Commissioner Boyd asked if the Public Safety Model of Service presentation given by Deputy <br />Director Paetznick and Deputy Director Olson could be the topic of a town meeting or something <br />as it was very informative. <br />Adiourn <br />Commissioner Hollimon made a motion to adjourn the June Public Safety Commission meeting; <br />seconded by Commissioner Anderson.
