He <br />congratulated the residents of New Brighton for coming in first place nationally for National <br />Night Out. <br />Brian Strub <br />Councilmember Strub reported the Public Safety Commission would meet on Monday, <br />November 30th at the Public Safety Center at 6:00 p.m. He discussed the Santa Cop program <br />and encouraged residents to donate toys or cash to this wonderful program. <br />Gina Bauman <br />Councilmember Bauman reported the EDC would be meeting on Wednesday, December 2nd at <br />7:30 a.m. She indicated the Cable Commission would meet next on December 3rd to address <br />the 2016 Budget. She was excited by the fact the CenturyLink cable franchise was being <br />supported and looked forward to having their cable products available to New Brighton <br />residents. <br />Mary Burg <br />Councilmember Burg reported Park and Recreation Department employees assisted Irondale <br />students with mock interviews. She discussed the international and domestic trips sponsored <br />by the City's Park and Rec Department. She explained gift certificates were available to the <br />New Brighton Community Center. She indicated she attended the recent PREC meeting where <br />Hansen Park was discussed. She stated she attended the New Brighton employee breakfast last <br />week. She provided comment on the award that was presented in memory of Michael J. <br />Walker. She thanked the City's staff for the professional and dedicated service they provide to <br />the community. She noted PREC was scheduled to meet again on Wednesday, December 2, <br />2015. <br />Paul Jacobsen <br />Councilmember Jacobsen reported the Planning Commission met on Tuesday, November 17th <br />and discussed the McCoy Group's request. He wished everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and <br />congratulated the City for coming in first place again for National Night Out. He encouraged <br />residents to participate in Build -A -Burger next Monday night at the White Bear Lake VFW <br />noting this event supported Beyond the Yellow Ribbon.
