Gina Bauman Councilmember Bauman reported the EDC would be meeting on Wednesday, February 3`d at 7:30 a.m. She noted the Cable Commission would be holding a strategic planning session on Saturday, January 30th. The goal of the session would be to find a way to increase revenue streams, while also reviewing the group's next steps. She commented on how nice the Northeast Bank building was. Paul Jacobsen Councilmember Jacobsen reported CPY would be holding a meeting on Thursday, January 28tH at 6:00 p.m. at Christ the King. The group would be discussing its direction for 2016. He noted the Planning Commission did not meet in January and would meet next on Tuesday, February 16th at 7:00 p.m. He encouraged those interested in serving on a City Commission were encouraged to contact City Hall. Brian Strub Councilmember Strub reported the Public Safety Commission met on Monday, January 25rn The group received a report on Police Use of Force and De -Escalation. He encouraged the public to participate in the l ltn Annual Snowshoe Shuffle 5K or IOK run/walk on Long Lake on Saturday, February 6rn Mayor Johnson Mayor Johnson reported the Sportsman's Club would be hosting their annual fundraiser on Sunday, January 31St. She explained fishing would not be conducted due to the ice conditions. All residents were invited to participate in a raffle and support the Sportsman's Club. She indicated the Lion's recently donated a reading machine to a 95 -year-old resident of New Brighton. She thanked this group for their generosity. She noted she attended Mayor's Training last weekend and thanked the City for allowing her to attend this valuable workshop. She indicated there would be a planning meeting for this year's Stockyard Days on Monday, February I" at 6:30 p.m. at the Community Center. She encouraged those interested in serving on this committee or any other City Commission were encouraged to contact City Hall for further information.
