February 29th at 6:30 p.m. the Public Safety Facility. A discussion will be held with the <br />Ramsey County 911/Dispatch Center. He indicated the Police Reserves held their annual <br />recognition dinner on Sunday, February 21St. He thanked all of the volunteers that serve within <br />the Police Reserves. <br />Gina Bauman <br />Councilmember Bauman stated the EDC will meet next on Wednesday, March 2nd. She <br />indicated the Cable Commission met on Thursday, February 18th. There were still discussions <br />with Comcast that a Federal lawsuit would commence soon. A judge would be giving <br />Comcast until Wednesday, June Is' at 4:30 p.m. to mediate the suit. <br />Mary Burz <br />Councilmember Burg reported the Park and Recreation Department had ice rinks opened from <br />January 2" d through February 15th. The parks had 5,481 skaters this season. She thanked the <br />Sunny Square volunteers for all their help. She discussed the special events that were held at <br />the Community Center on President's Day. It was noted 396 youth passes were sold that day. <br />She thanked the Park and Recreation Department for their great planning. She indicated the <br />spring Park and Recreation brochure would be sent out March 7". She explained Brightwood <br />Hills Golf Course would be taking reV <br />strations starting on March 41" and 5t". PREC would be <br />meeting next on Wednesday, March d at 6:30 p.m. <br />Bob Jacobsen <br />Acting City Manager Jacobsen had nothing to report. <br />Mayor Johnson <br />Mayor Johnson reported the Council held interviews with residents interested in serving on the <br />City's commissions. She thanked these individuals for their time. She noted the Eagle's <br />would be holding a fish fry every Friday night for Lent at 5:00 p.m. She explained the <br />Governor's Water Summit would be held this weekend and she would be attending. She <br />indicated she had the privilege of attending the Public Safety Departn-tent's award ceremony on <br />Monday, February 22nd.
