Consideration of Resolution Appointing Individuals to Municipal Advisory Commissions. <br />Motion by Councilmember Jacobsen, seconded by Councilmember Burg to approve the Consent <br />Agenda as presented. <br />Mayor Johnson encouraged Mr. Tran to introduce himself to the Council. <br />Quang Tran introduced himself to the Council and explained he was requesting a solicitor's license for his <br />insurance agency. He looked forward to working in the City of New Brighton at the Comer of County Road <br />E and Silver Lake Road. <br />Councilmember Jacobsen appreciated the generation donation made to the Santa Cop program from N.C. <br />Kauls. <br />4 Ayes, 0 Nays - Motion Carried <br />Public Hearing <br />None. <br />Council Business <br />None. <br />Commission Liaison Deports, Announcements and Updates <br />Dean Lotter <br />City Manager Lotter reported the City was moving forward with the City Hall renovations. He <br />stated all demolition work was completed and staff anticipated the contractor would begin <br />work on March 14th. He indicated he attended a Metro Area Water Supply Committee meeting <br />on Monday, March 7th. He explained pilot testing continues on the City's water, along with the <br />Minneapolis interconnect. He stated he would have a written report sent to the Council in the <br />near future. <br />Mary Burg <br />Councilmember Burg reported Brightwood Golf Course would be open on Thursday, March <br />10th. She commented the New Brighton Spring and Summer brochure was now available. She <br />encouraged the public to review this document and get involved in some great community <br />activities. She was pleased to report New Brighton was designated a Tree City USA for the <br />34th consecutive year. She urged New Brighton residents to participate in the Ramsey County <br />Friends of the Park tree sale this spring. Orders would be taken unti l Friday, April 22°d. She <br />commented the Council discussed the HVAC unit replacement at their recent worksession <br />meeting. She stated the HVAC unit was scheduled to be replaced in September of 2016. It <br />was noted the PREC Committee would meet next on Wednesday, April Oh at 6:30 p.m. at City <br />Hall. <br />Paul Jacobsen <br />Councilmember Jacobsen reported Community Partners for Youth (CPY) held their Spring <br />Luncheon today.
