Of <br />IM <br />MCITFON <br />the city that works for you <br />Council Worksession <br />May 10, 2016 <br />5:00 pm <br />Present: Mayor Valerie Johnson <br />Councilmember Brian Strub <br />Councilmember Paul Jacobsen <br />Councilmember Mary Burg <br />Absent: Councilmember Gina Bauman <br />Staff in Attendance: Dean Lotter, Pat Isaacson, Mary Reardon <br />Guests in Attendance: <br />BS&A Internet Utility and Access my Gov presentation and traiiiiti f <br />Patty Isaacson explained the City was working to implement Access my Gov by June 1St. She reported Mary <br />Reardon from BS&A was present to provide the Council with information and training. <br />Mary Reardon, BS&A, provided the Council with detailed information on the options available within Access <br />my Gov. She noted each of the Councilmembers would be receiving an email address in order to allow each <br />individual to log in. She described the static reports that would be available to the Council on a monthly basis <br />noting the Council could also elect to pay their utility bills through this program. She discussed how the <br />username and passwords were selected. She logged into the program and reviewed several reports she created <br />for the Councilmembers. <br />Councilmember Jacobsen recommended that residents only be able to view their own utility bill and not any <br />other utility bills. <br />Ms. Reardon provided further training to the Council on Access my Gov. <br />Discussion ensued regarding the functions and benefits of the internet utility program. <br />Councilmember Jacobsen questioned how many residents were anticipated to use this program. Patty stated <br />other communities were having up to 30% of their residents using Access my Gov. <br />Councilmember Jacobsen asked if budget documents would be accessed by the public through this program or <br />if they would stay on the City's website. Lotter anticipated that budget documents would remain on the <br />website for review. He provided further comment on the numerous benefits of Access my Gov. <br />Councilmember Burg questioned the life expectancy of the new program. Lotter estimated the program would <br />last 15 years. <br />Mayor Johnson thanked the Council and finance staff for implementing this program. Lotter thanked Andre <br />Barte in IT for assisting the City with this software upgrade. <br />
