July 26, 2016 Page 2 of 7 <br />Commission Minutes <br />Mayor Johnson received the following minutes on behalf of the City: <br />• Planning commission Minutes from Jun 21, 2016. <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br /> 1. Consideration of a Proclamation Recognizing Officer Kathleen McNeely for 25 Years of <br />Service to the City of New Brighton. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Jacobsen, seconded by Councilmember Burg to approve a <br />Proclamation Recognizing Officer Kathleen McNeely for 25 Years of Service to the City of New <br />Brighton. <br /> <br />Mayor Johnson read a proclamation in full for the record recognizing Officer Kathleen McNeely for her 25 <br />years of dedicated service to the City of New Brighton and wished her well in retirement. A standing ovation <br />and round of applause was offered by all in attendance. <br />Mayor Johnson thanked Officer McNeely for the time she invested in the City’s DARE program. <br />Councilmember Strub thanked Officer McNeely for her service to the community and for being a strong role <br />model for women in law enforcement. <br />Councilmember Burg thanked Officer McNeely for her dedication to the DARE and Santa Cop programs <br />noting her children went through the DARE program. <br />Councilmember Jacobsen wished Officer McNeely well and thanked her for her impactful service to the City <br />of New Brighton. <br /> Councilmember Bauman thanked all those who serve and protect this community. She thanked Officer <br />McNeely for giving her time and talents to the City and its residents. She wished her well in her retirement. <br />City Manager Lotter appreciated the noble service of police officers across the country. He thanked Officer <br />McNeely for being a shining example for New Brighton. <br />Officer McNeely stated she has loved being a Police Officer and thanked the City for the opportunity to serve <br />the community. <br /> <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays - Motion Carried <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br />1.
