<br /> <br />Lotter reviewed with the Council the proposed administrative staffing changes noting he would like to create a <br />Deputy Clerk position and Assistant City Administrator. He discussed how the new administrative design <br />would benefit City staff. The expense of the new positions was detailed with the Council. <br /> <br />Mayor Johnson supported the proposed staffing changes and believed the work being done by City Manager <br />Lotter was so important, given the City’s water situation. <br /> <br />Councilmember Strub commented on the importance of properly training City and Public Safety Department <br />staff. <br /> <br />Councilmember Burg appreciated the level of detail provided within the 2017 budget. <br /> <br />Councilmember Jacobsen thanked staff for the thorough presentation on the budget and requested further <br />information on the proposed COLA’s for 2017. <br /> <br />Lotter stated he would like to bring on an office assistant as soon as possible given the high level of work for <br />the City’s clerical staff.
