Bryan Harjes, pla, leeD ap, vice president, will serve as project landscape <br />architect. in this role he will provide urban design leadership, particularly for the <br />redevelopment planning effort. through his work on several redevelopment and <br />small area planning projects, bryan has developed a significant body of knowledge <br />about the types of issues communities face as they seek to redevelop underutilized <br />areas. he is particularly adept working with communities to establish ambitious, <br />yet feasible, visions for redevelopment. he has provided similar visioning and <br />urban design services for the st. louis river Corridor in Duluth as well as in <br />downtown osseo, Woodbury, and north st. paul, and he has several award-winning <br />redevelopment and area plans in his portfolio. his design skill, combined with <br />outstanding listening and critical thinking abilities, will make bryan a valuable <br />resource on this project. <br />Kevin Clarke, a graduate planner, will provide planning services to the land use and <br />parks and trails components of the project. kevin was on the team that developed <br />the award-winning comprehensive plan for ironwood, michigan, and he has also <br />contributed to comprehensive, land use planning, and park system planning <br />projects throughout minnesota. kevin excels in recognizing and identifying trends <br />and standards in the areas of parks and recreation and land use development. he <br />has conducted several athletic facility assessments for minnesota communities, <br />including White bear lake, Woodbury, Chanhassen, hopkins, and Worthington, and <br />he has been involved in several small area redevelopment studies in inver Grove <br />heights, north st. paul, and Chaska. <br />Laura Chamberlain, aiCp, is a new addition to the hkGi team. she comes to the <br />firm with two years of experience providing general planning services to several <br />minnesota communities, and since joining hkGi has provided general planning <br />services for mound, Faribault, and lindström. she is currently providing planning <br />support for the burnsville Comprehensive plan Update. <br />Emily Jorgensen, a graduate planner, is a new addition to the hkGi team. she <br />comes to the firm from the University of minnesota’s Urban and regional planning <br />graduate program. she is currently providing support for the comprehensive plans <br />in burnsville, rochester, and Woodbury. <br />resumes for each staff member listed above can be found on the following pages. <br />Comprehensive Plans <br />Ironwood, Michigan (left) <br />Perry, Iowa (right) <br />City of New BrightoN, MiNNesota 4
