November 9, 2016 Page 5 of 5 <br />Councilmember Burg reported PREC met last week and discussed the future of the Silver <br />View Park tennis court. She understood that pickle ball was growing in popularity and it was <br />recommended this tennis court be resurfaced and be lined for tennis and pickle ball. She <br />explained PREC recommended Lion’s Park move forward and that Ramsey County sign an <br />agreement regarding how costs would be shared. She was pleased to report that Ramsey <br />County had signed off on this agreement. She noted PREC would meet next on Wednesday, <br />December 7th. <br />Paul Jacobsen <br />Councilmember Jacobsen thanked all of the New Brighton residents who turned out to vote <br />this year. He encouraged the public to stay engaged with the City and their community. He <br />reported the Planning Commission would meet next on Tuesday, November 15th at 7:00 p.m. <br />He invited the public to attend the CPY Gala on Friday, November 11th. He thanked all of the <br />veterans in the community for their service. <br />Mayor Johnson <br />Mayor Johnson thanked all of the election judges that assisted with the election this year. She <br />encouraged more residents to get involved in the election process.
