<br /> <br />Commissioner Garcia-Perez believed the City already had a number of great events planned for each <br />year. She suggested the City work to better coordinate and communicate the events that were already in <br />place in order to draw the community to these outings. <br /> <br />Mayor Johnson stated a bi-weekly or monthly publication could assist with getting this information to <br />the public. She challenged the EDC members to speak with the community to see what they are looking <br />for. She understood the public wanted a grocery store and more restaurants. <br /> <br />Commissioner Garcia-Perez commented she was unaware of the local events discussed this morning and <br />stated she has lived in the City for the past three years. <br /> <br />Mayor Johnson was in favor of improving the New Brighton Bulletin’s publications to ensure they <br />include community events.
