2
I. INCIDENT RESPONSE INFORMATION

The following information contains summaries of significant police and fire related
incidents during the month.

On September 22nd while responding to a report of an oven fire on Silver Lane the crew
of Aerial 498 under the direction of Captain Mike Schute were driving to the scene and
observed Truman, the missing Pitbull, in the cul-de-sac of 1st Street SW. After
completing the call, fire division units responded back to the area Truman was saw and
established a perimeter and contacted Truman’s owner and asked her to come to the
scene. Fire Division staff were able to keep Truman confined to an area and attempted to
catch him, but he was very fast and crews were unable to keep up in full bunker gear.
After Truman’s owner arrived on scene staff felt it was best not to alarm the dog with the
large apparatus and uniformed personnel and cleared the area leaving behind PSO
Honkenen. Approximately one hour later after he calmed down a bit Truman was
officially re-united with his family and was obvious very happy.

On Friday September 23rd Public Safety staff was dispatched to the area of County Road
D and Continental Drive for multiple reports of shots fired. Our staff along with officers
from multiple surrounding agencies arrived in the area quickly and after extensive
searches were unable to locate any shell casings or any damage.
