2 <br />I. INCIDENT RESPONSE INFORMATION <br /> The following information contains summaries of significant police and fire related <br />incidents during the month. <br /> <br />16-13027…On 10-10-16, New Brighton squads were dispatched on a Robbery at 2010 <br />Silver Lake Road (Super America). 5 minutes prior to the robbery, Officer Xiong had conducted a foot patrol. The clerk at Super America was robbed at knife point. The <br />clerk reported a lone black male wearing all black entered store brandishing a large <br />hunting style knife. The male was wearing a black nylon type mask covering his face, a <br />black hooded sweatshirt and black gloves. Suspect was described as being tall and <br />slender with a possible "Somali" accent. He got away with around $150.00 from till. A quick perimeter was established but the closest K9 was in Lino Lakes. No K9 track was <br />conducted. Clerk at Cub advised she saw a male wearing all black riding a BMX style <br />bike through the Cub lot towards Silver Lake Road around same time. No suspects at <br />this time. Case remains open. <br /> On October 2nd the Fire Division responded to I694 at Long Lake Road for a report of a <br />vehicle fire. Crews arrived on scene and extinguished the fire. Staff also utilized the <br />Facebook Live feature to show viewers the dangers firefighters face. <br /> <br />16-12979…On 10-09-16, Squads were dispatched to 1515 21st Ave NW on a report of a <br />stabbing. It was described as a chaotic scene with several intoxicated parties. Officers <br />eventually learned that a domestic occurred between Ira Whitelow (8/12/1968) and <br />Tracee Thomas (07/28/1972), who had both been drinking. Whitelow has cut to ear and claimed to have been cut on ear by Thomas. Allina evaluated and Whitelow refused <br />transport. A third party witness told us Thomas brought knife into house. Xiong <br />interviewed Thomas. She didn't bring up any kind of self-defense situation and denied <br />any confrontation happened. The knife was never recovered. Squads asked homeowners <br />to call police if knife located so it can be placed in evidence. Thomas was booked for 2nd degree assault.
