3

On Tuesday, October 11th the NBDPS was dispatched to the 1100 block of Pike Lake Circle for a report of a suspicious male. Upon arrival in the area, officers were flagged down by individuals who reported they thought someone was in their house. Officers
immediately established a perimeter around the residence and entered the residence to
search for the suspect. While searching the residence, they located a door that had been
chained from the inside. Officers entered the room and did not locate a suspect….but located almost 1 pound of methamphetamine and over 15 pounds of marijuana in the room. The suspect who occupies the room was taken in to custody and has since been
charged by the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office for 1st Degree Drug Possession.

On October 20th at approximately 10:22am the Public Safety Department was dispatched to DSI located at 119 14th Street NW for a report of a hazmat release. Units arrived on scene and determined several cylinders of ethylene oxide, a very dangerous chemical
utilized for sterilization of medical equipment, had been damaged during transport. Units
were advised two employees had potentially been exposed. Units arrived on scene and
with the assistance of the North Suburban Haz-Mat Team were able to safely remove the containers and over-pack them for recovery. The two employees were evaluated and released at the scene.
