She anticipated <br />this agreement would be coming before the City Council in the near future. She invited the <br />public to participate in Stockyard Days. <br />Brian Strub <br />Councilmember Strub reported the Planning Commission would meet next on Tuesday, August <br />15th at 7:00 p.m. He discussed the numerous parties he attended on National Night Out and <br />explained he appreciated meeting with so many of his neighbors. <br />Mary Buri <br />Councilmember Burg reported Brightwood Hills has held several great youth golf tournaments <br />in the last week. She reviewed the winners from these tournaments and congratulated them on <br />their efforts. She provided the Council with an update from PREC and described how the City <br />would be recycling rainwater to be used on ballfields at Lions Park. She noted a Met Council <br />Storinwater Grant would assist with this water conservancy initiative. She stated Fall <br />registration was now taking place. She explained PREC would meet next on Wednesday, <br />September 6th <br />Paul Jacobsen <br />Councilmember Jacobsen reported the Public Safety Commission would meet next on <br />Monday, August 14"' at City Hall. He invited the public to fill out a survey regarding body <br />worn cameras on the City's website or Facebook page. He encouraged residents to participate <br />in the numerous events being planned for Stockyard Days. He requested staff thank the Public <br />Safety Department for all of their efforts on National Night Out. He stated he was very proud <br />to live in this community and to be able to call New Brighton home. <br />Mayor Johnson <br />Mayor Johnson extended her thanks to all New Brighton residents and Public Safety <br />Department members that participated in National Night Out. She commented on the <br />wonderful events that were planned for Stockyard Days and encouraged the public to get <br />involved. She noted the Bartz brothers were serving as the Grand Marshalls this year. She <br />noted the parade would be held on Thursday, August 10th. She noted the City would be <br />gathering feedback from the public at Stockyard Days on the Comprehensive Plan.
