Report prepared by Barbara Strandell 6
F. Continually finding ways to provide quality services through excellent customer service and focusing
on the needs of the community.
G. New Brighton will be a City with a high quality of living, excellent public services, directed by
visionary (yet obtainable) planning.
H. Safe, vibrant, progressive community that invests in its people and places.
I. Continue to be the place people want to live to have the benefits of strong schools, good parks,
safe community with proximity and access to urban amenities.
J. Improved Quality of Life through flood/traffic/trail/street and utility improvement projects, improved
sense of place, economic development of under performing properties/areas.
K. I like the small town feel New Brighton has, but also I would like to see it become a little more
metropolitan with better-maintained parks, more professional signage, and more programming in
recreation for our residents.
L. A City NOT know n for its water issues and an organization where employees feel respected and
valued by the Council and residents
M. Investing in improvements that make New Brighton a great place to live, including redevelopment,
housing programs, street-scaping, public art, community events, etc.
N. Find a way to keep our City ever green and relevant for people of all ages to live, work, or play.
