A-16 Appendix A DRAFT <br />Survey Responses: Redevelopment Areas <br />ID #Redevelopment <br />Area <br />What are some features of this area that you <br />would like to see maintained/preserved in <br />the future? <br />What improvements could be made to enhance <br />this area over the next 20 years? <br />17 Old Highway 8 <br />Corridor <br />Businesses that are maintaining property and <br />bringing a fresh look to the corridor. <br />This area is a main thoroughfare and has great <br />potential for commercial or retail. Safer and more <br />appealing walkways be be most beneficial for the <br />surrounding neighborhoods. <br />18 Old Highway 8 <br />Corridor <br />It would be great to see Old Highway 8 <br />redeveloped into a walkable boulevard. Replace <br />some of the traffic lanes with bike lanes and nice <br />sidwalks. Mixed use building near the sidewalk, <br />instead of behind their parking lots. <br />19 Old Highway 8 <br />Corridor <br />Decent area, but it's so industrial it doesn't <br />bode well for new residential property. <br />The abandoned Korean church needs to go. <br />There's so much space behind it that could <br />be better utilized for parks, or commercial <br />development. That neighborhood needs some <br />revitalizing. <br />20 Old Highway 8 <br />Corridor <br />Would not like the Korean Church property <br />to become condos or apt. A playground/ <br />basketball area would be nice, especially since <br />there are more apts just north and around the <br />area. <br />Turn it into a boulevard with more trees and <br />shrubs to offset the commercial and industrial <br />look of the corridor. It will beautify the space.
