A-4 Appendix A DRAFT
ID #Needs Work! Comment (up votes, down votes)
1 Good point. Also heading west on this road can be dangerous once you reach the top of the hill. It would be nice if there
was a sign warning drivers to look out for pedestrians at the top. (0, 0)
2 Long Lake Rd from Cty H is a primary access route for New Brighton from the north, and improved landscaping on the
SW corner of this intersection would be nice to indicate "you're entering New Brighto (2, 0)
3 Crossing at Long Lake is risky but doable - crossing silver lake road -no way. My children love to bike and its unfortunate
as you can't go far without hitting a major road way. (0, 0)
4 This has got to be the most dangerous pedestrian/bicycle crossing in the city. It is frequently used by all ages and there
is really no way to cross there safely. (1, 0)
5 A more affordable option might be a pedestrian Crossing light. The problem isn't that people won't stop, but rather that
people don't see someone at the crosswalk until it's too late to stop. (1, 0)
6 Bike path crossing needs a bridge or tunnel to provide better safety. (5, 0)
7 This makes me nervous and when teams etc run up and down long lake road as sometimes they are right on the line and
as we know not all drivers pay attention. (0, 0)
8 Better lighting and flashing signals for high schoolers crossing Long Lake Road in the morning. Traffic is heavy and they
can be difficult to see. (1, 0)
9 Something would be great. It's not easy to go there riding (or walking) with children as we have to go up Long Lake and
then cross the street. Dread that part little visibility with curve in rd there. (0, 0)
10 A more affordable option might be a pedestrian Crossing light. Bridges and tunnels are very expensive. Flashing lights
that make Vehicles aware of pedestrians crossing would be a great improvement (1, 0)
11 Bike path crossing needs a bridge or tunnel to provide better safety. (2, 0)
12 This area is getting better with some of the new businesses, but could use more. I live close by yet find little reason to
venture other than to Cub. (0, 0)
13 I've spent a lot of time living near this park since moving to New Brighton in 2007, I've noticed that this park is not
well kept much of the time. Lights burnt out, paths unshoveled & grass overgrown (3, 0)
14 Even those who don't run regularly love hiking unpaved paths. (1, 0)
15 *should be missing link icon* (0, 0)
16 Create trail on South side of this rarely-used rail to connect to Old Hwy 8 and/or complete loop around Rush Lake.
Also, runners don't mind non-paved trails: cheaper, less injury potential (plus XC) (3, 0)
17 The Papa Murphy's in SAV moved to the shopping center on Pentagon Drive on Hwy 88 next to the SAV library. (0, 0)
18 What happened to the Papa Murphy's? The pizza/video combo here was a good asset to the community. And the only
other close PM in St. Anthony Village has also closed. (1, 0)
19 Nothing at all against the golf course even that I don't golf, as it is unique to have a city owned one. If there was a way to
have a playground in this area and/or another reason to come. (0, 0)
20 So sad you destroyed all of the trees in the area for housing (1, 1)
21 Love the amenity, but I hate to see it running a deficit. Could the facility to be leveraged off season more by
partnering with a business entity? Add on an onsite brewpub & do snowshoeing in winter? (7, 0)
22 This 'S' in the road is very dangerous for anyone walking, crossing, or biking in the bike lane. Cars often speed around
the curves. Difficult to cross during rush hour, cars don't always stop (1, 0)
23 Some sort of traffic control would be nice here. No yield or stop signs at this intersection. (1, 0)
24 Very difficult to cross to sidewalk. Sidewalks on both sides of the busy street would be useful. (0, 0)
25 How can Family Video still be in business? And can we get some decent healthy restaurants? Taco Johns is the worst!
(0, 0)
26 A neighborhood park on the lake would be lovely. (0, 0)
27 Long Lake Park/beach is great. However, since moving to New Brighton in 2014, I have envisioned a small beach
with small playground on the west side of the lake, walking distance for residents. (9, 4)
28 Needs sidewalks, lots of walkers and very dangerous with busy street. (1, 1)
