feedback received and reviewed a chart which summarized the data received regarding five areas of <br />reinvestment within the City. She indicated the next step for staff would be to take all of this feedback and <br />begin drafting a plan. She explained the existing plan would be revised to reflect the comments received while <br />also meeting Met Council’s requirements. She envisioned going back to all of the Commissions for further <br />feedback. Gundlach stated one comment received from the Commissions was to include local businesses in <br />the Comp Plan process. She indicated she was on the Chamber of Commerce agenda for December 14 th and <br />asked the Council for their support. <br /> <br />Councilmember Strub supported staff speaking with the business community both at the Chamber of <br />Commerce and to the Rotary Club. He suggested Seth at Eurotech be contacted to host an event for business <br />owners along Old Highway 8. <br /> <br />Mayor Johnson stated the local fraternal organizations could also be contacted for feedback. She suggested the <br />forgotten portion of New Brighton (along County Road D and Cleveland Avenue) be contacted as well. She <br />proposed staff holding several separate meetings with the various pockets of business owners in the <br />community. <br /> <br />Gundlach thanked the Council for their support. <br /> <br /> <br />Councilmember Strub requested staff bring forward a memo regarding the changes that were made to State law <br />regarding elections.
