September 12, 2017 Page 7 of 7 <br />discussed the TIF management plan. She indicated the Cable Commission would be meeting <br />next month to address its strategic plan going forward. Further discussion ensued regarding <br />net neutrality. <br /> <br />Brian Strub <br />Councilmember Strub reported the Mounds View School Foundation fundraiser Rock the <br />School House would be held on Saturday, November 11th. He encouraged residents to get their <br />tickets early. He noted the CPY Gala would be held on Friday, October 27th. In addition, <br />Taste of Northeast would be held Thursday, October 5th. He explained the Planning <br />Commission would meet next on Tuesday, September 19th at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Paul Jacobsen <br />Councilmember Jacobsen reported the Public Safety Commission met on Monday, September <br />11th where the group discussed body worn cameras. He believed this information would be <br />forwarded to the City Council in early October. He thanked the Public Safety Commission for <br />their work on this topic. He stated Executive Director Hamdorf was deployed to the Florida <br />Keys to assist with recovery efforts. He encouraged residents to provide the City with <br />feedback for the Comprehensive Plan by filling out the survey located on the City’s Facebook <br />or webpage. Lastly, he welcomed Director Fink to the City of New Brighton. He noted the <br />next Red Cross Blood Drive would be held on Wednesday, September 20th. <br /> <br />Mary Burg <br />Councilmember Burg reported she attended the PREC meeting last week. She provided the <br />Council with an update on the Eagle’s Nest noting the original structure had been removed and <br />work was beginning on the new structure. She indicated the Eagle’s Nest would reopen <br />sometime in November. She provided further comment on the preventative maintenance and <br />improvements that were occurring at the Community Center. She noted the Thrive Expo would <br />be held on Thursday, September 14th.
