7 <br /> <br />The MN Supreme Court recently upheld the First Degree Murder conviction of <br />Neil Zumberge. This New Brighton case gained notoriety due to one neighbor shot the <br />other neighbor over the deceased neighbor feeding deer. <br /> <br />A formal complaint was recently signed for an incident back in June of 2016 <br />which charged a 45 year old Elbow Lake woman with 5th Degree Possession of <br />Methamphetamine and 2 counts of violating Minnesota DWI laws. The possession of the <br />methamphetamine charge carries a maximum sentence of 5 years and/or a $10,000 fine. <br />Each DWI count carries a maximum sentence of 90 days and/or a $1,000 fine. <br /> <br />On January 10th, with the assistance from patrol, Detective Voeller executed a <br />search warrant for Criminal Sexual Conduct. The suspect was on scene and taken into <br />custody. Numerous pieces of evidence were retained. The investigation is on-going. <br /> <br />A complaint was signed for a 56 year old New Brighton man for being a <br />Predatory Offender and knowingly violating the registration requirements and/or falsely <br />providing information. The sentence carries a maximum of 5 years in prison and/or a <br />$10,000 fine. <br /> <br />A complaint was signed for 26 year old Minneapolis man charging him with 1st <br />Degree burglary and Terroristic Threats for an incident back in September. The burglary <br />charge carries a maximum of a 20 year prison sentence and/or $35,000 fine while the <br />Terrorist Threats charges carries a maximum of a 7 year prison sentence and/or a $14,000 <br />fine. <br /> <br />A complaint was signed for a 19 year old Minneapolis resident charging him with <br />5th degree controlled substance for an incident daring back to August of 2016. The <br />charge carries a maximum of 5 years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine. <br /> <br /> <br />V.
