2

I. INCIDENT RESPONSE INFORMATION

The following information contains summaries of significant police and fire related
incidents during the month.

On April 4th, squads were dispatched on a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of 1050
Thorndale. Upon arrival, they located a 27 year old male from Minneapolis in the
vehicle. Routine checks revealed the party had 3 felony level warrants out for his arrest.
2 of the warrants were out of Hennepin County for 1st degree Burglary and Carrying a
Pistol without a Permit and a 3rd out of Anoka County for Terroristic Threats. He was
taken into custody without incident and book at the jail for the warrants.

On April 4th, New Brighton firefighters responded to I-35W and Hwy 88 on a fuel spill.
Apparently a semi was driving down the Interstate when it struck road debris that
punctured the fuel tank resulting in the diesel to spill out. Firefighters were able to stop
the leak and recover the impacted materials for disposal.

On April 7th, dayshift officers responded to LA Fitness on a 37 year old male who
collapsed while lifting weights. CPR ended up being initiated and the party was
transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

On April 7th, squads were dispatched on a suspicious person who appeared under the
influence. Squads locate the party who provides a false name. With the use of the IBIS,
the party’s real identity is located. He ends up being a 35 year old from Anoka with a
felony warrant for Controlled Substance as well as several misdemeanor warrants. He
was booked at the Ramsey jail for the warrants.
