6 <br />On April 11th, squads were advised of a vehicle being driven erratically. The vehicle is <br />located being driven by a 50 year old female from Columbia Heights. She is arrested <br />after failing field sobriety tests. At the PD, the driver takes the breath test which revealed <br />a BAC of .25 which is more than 3 times the legal limit. She was booked for 2nd Degree <br />DWI. <br /> <br />On April 16th, squads responded to the BP on a report of 2 people doing heroin. Upon <br />arrival, officers found a syringe in the door. The 23 year old from Vadnais Heights was <br />showing signs of being under the influence. After failing field sobriety tests, the driver is <br />arrested. A blood sample was taken and the driver was booked for 3rd degree DWI. <br /> <br />On April 20th, Officer Nordus stops a vehicle for multiple traffic violations. Officer <br />Nordus observes obvious signs of intoxication. The 23 year old driver from Amery, WI <br />refuses all field sobriety tests. He is arrested and brought back to the PD. The driver <br />provided a breath sample that recorded a .23 BAC. The driver was booked for 2nd degree <br />DWI and his vehicle was forfeited. <br /> <br />On April 23rd, Officer Xiong stops a vehicle for speeding. The 24 year old female driver <br />from Minneapolis is displaying signs of intoxication. She fails field sobriety test and is <br />placed under arrest. At the PD, she provides a breath sample which revealed a .18 BAC. <br />She was booked for 3rd degree DWI. <br /> <br />IV. CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIVE SECTION (CIS), SCHOOL <br />RESOURCE OFFICER (SRO) and VIOLENT CRIME ENFORCEMENT <br />TEAM (VCET) ACTIVITY <br /> <br />This section contains information regarding the Criminal Investigative Section <br />(Detectives) and our School Resource Officers (Irondale, Highview, the Elementary <br />Schools/ Area Learning Center) and the member of the Ramsey County Violent Crime <br />Enforcement Team (VCET). This includes summary data of investigations and <br />clearances by the Criminal Investigative Section. <br /> <br />Detective DeBoer signed a complaint against a 50 year old New Brighton for a Gross <br />Misdemeanor Criminal Neglect of his elderly mother. The son, who is the caretaker of <br />his mother, intentionally or knowingly permitted conditions to exist that put his <br />vulnerable adult mother in harm’s way. The mother was found to be living in an <br />apartment that had an overwhelming stench of human feces and moldy/rotten food <br />covering much of the property. The mother had to be hospitalized due to numerous skin <br />conditions related to the conditions she was forced to live in. The maximum sentence is <br />imprisonment up to 1 year and/or a $3,000 fine. <br /> <br />Detective DeBoer signed a complaint against a 19 year old Vadnais Heights woman for <br />5th degree drug possession (methamphetamine). This charge carries a maximum sentence <br />of 5 years and/or a $10,000 fine. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
