2 <br />1. INCIDENT RESPONSE INFORMATION <br /> <br />On August 2, squads responded on a second hand report of verbal domestic. Upon <br />arrival, they met the female half who stated everything was fine. She advised that her <br />boyfriend and her were having a bad day. They confirmed that she was OK. As they were <br />speaking to her, he came out, closed the garage door and told them to "Fuck off." He <br />then came back out as they were leaving and gave them the double finger. <br /> <br />A female LYFT passenger reported that she fell asleep in the vehicle and awoke to the <br />driver attempting to sexually assault her. Detective DeBoer is handling the case. <br /> <br />A 90-year-old resident reported falling victim to a scam where she had received a <br />telephone call that her grandson was in jail and needed bail money. She had sent $9,000 <br />cash via FedEx to an address in Ohio. The case is under investigation. <br /> <br />Members of the Teamsters Union Local 120 who are regularly protesting outside the <br />former AAA Cooper Transportation trucking terminal at 50 14th Street NW reported last <br />Thursday that someone had allegedly placed a large amount of cat feces and kitty litter <br />around their normal picketing area during the overnight hours. <br /> <br />On August 13, New Brighton squads stood by while a mother picked up her son from a <br />sleep over that went awry. <br /> <br />On August 13, New Brighton squads assisted the State Patrol with a Felony stops on a <br />Hit and Run vehicle that had previously fled from the police. Two parties were taken <br />into custody without incident. <br /> <br />On August 15, a 26 year old man from Kansas broke into a vehicle at Hilton Homewood <br />Suites. He then puts on the clothing and retains the property while loitering outside the <br />hotel after stealing some sunglasses at Holiday. The victim of the theft sees the party <br />wearing his clothes and ends up tackling the suspect and detaining him until police arrive. <br />The party then gave a false name to the officers. It is discovered he also has a Ramsey <br />County warrant out for his arrest. He is booked at the Ramsey County jail for felony <br />theft along with his Ramsey County warrant. <br /> <br />On August 16, St. Anthony PD requested assistance from Officer Farmer on a blood <br />draw. Since Officer Farmer is also a Phlebotomist, he was able to assist them. <br /> <br />A resident in the 1400 block of Piper Drive reported that someone had placed a flyer for a <br />missing cat in their mailbox. The mailbox owner wanted the cat owner spoken to by <br />police about proper use of a mailbox. An officer spoke with the offending youth about <br />the complaint. The cat has yet to be found. <br /> <br />On August 17, Officer Farmer stops a vehicle for numerous violations. The driver, a 50 <br />year old New Brighton resident, appears impaired and fails field sobriety tests. <br />Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia are found in the vehicle. A search warrant <br />was obtained and a blood sample was taken. The driver was booked at the Ramsey <br />County jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance and a pending charge of DWI. <br />
