2 <br />I. INCIDENT RESPONSE INFORMATION <br /> <br />The following information contains summaries of significant police and fire related <br />incidents during the month. <br /> <br />During the early morning hours of October 1st, officers were dispatched to the area of the <br />1500 block of Long Lake Road for a report of a group of males attempting to enter a <br />vehicle. Officers arrived in the area and were able locate the suspects walking down the <br />road. The suspects were detained and denied any involvement. After some questioning <br />and information from witnesses the males admitted they were responsible for multiple <br />vehicles being entered, several thefts, and multiple other mail boxes and fences damaged. <br />The suspects will be charged with a variety of offenses. <br /> <br />On October 1st, squads were dispatched on a weapons complaint where a party in a <br />vehicle was seen loading a gun. Responding officers located the vehicle and found a BB <br />gun in the vehicle. No threats were made by the driver who requested the officers to <br />dispose of the BB gun. <br /> <br />On October 1st, New Brighton squads were dispatched on a 35 year old man who became <br />unconscious after injecting heroin. The party was conscious when the officers arrived but <br />agreed he needed to go to the hospital. <br /> <br />On October 3rd, squads were dispatched on a robbery of person. Upon further <br />investigation, officers learn this was actually a drug deal gone wrong where the buyer had <br />$240 snatched out of his hands and then flees in a vehicle. <br /> <br />On October 4th, Officer Kostohryz assisted St. Anthony PD with a blood draw. <br /> <br />On October 8th, New Brighton squads assisted in Fridley where a Motor Vehicle Pursuit <br />ended in the parking lot of Menards. The suspects hit a cement pillar and were ejected <br />from the vehicle. Officer Riedel responded and assisted with EMS on one of the injured <br />suspects. <br /> <br />On October 9th, Officer Kostohryz assisted Ramsey County Sheriffs with a blood draw. <br /> <br />On October 9th, Officer Kostohryz stops a vehicle for the driver and passenger not <br />wearing their seatbelts. Also, the registered owner came back with a revoked MN DL. <br />The passenger exits the vehicle and won't listen to the commands of Officer Kostohryz. <br />The passenger eventually provides false info and then takes off on foot running. Officer <br />Kostohryz catches up to him and the male initially put his hands in the air but then makes <br />a quick movement towards his back pocket. Officer Kostohryz deploys his Taser and <br />drops the suspect. The suspect was found to have a warrant out of the Dept. of <br />Corrections, and a warrant for Flee Police in a MV. He was booked for the warrants. <br />The driver was cited for Driving After Revocation. <br /> <br />On October 9th, Det. Lochen and agents from the BCA conducted a search warrant at a <br />residence in New Brighton. During the execution of the search warrant, evidence of child <br />pornography was located in the home of the 56 year old New Brighton resident. <br />
