ProjeC t exPerienCe <br />< For full cutsheet, align sidebar to this guide <br />Community Planning <br />Chanhassen, Minnesota <br />hoisington koegler Group and its principals have been Chanhassen’s park planners <br />since 1977. since that time, hkGi staff have completed two updates of the City’s <br />Comprehensive recreation plan and a detailed community-wide trail plan. all <br />together, hkGi has completed master plans for 25 parks within Chanhassen totaling <br />approximately 500 acres. <br />in addition, hkGi has been responsible for the preparation of plans and <br />specifications for several park and recreational facilities including ball fields, tennis <br />courts, playgrounds, hockey rinks, boat accesses, park signage, picnic shelters, paved <br />trails, nature trails, parking lots, and landscaping. most recently, a new stairway <br />and hillside restoration were designed and installed on the edge of lake ann. hkGi <br />assisted the City in completing the rice marsh lake trail loop, and also assisted the <br />City of Chanhassen with attaining a $4.8 million bond referendum that was used to <br />acquire park and open space land and make significant improvements to existing <br />neighborhood and community parks. <br />in addition to park planning, hkGi has provided other planning services to the City <br />including conducting several aUars and environmental reviews; zoning ordinance <br />revisions; and downtown land use planning, visioning and parking studies. hkGi was <br />recently retained to lead the City’s park system master planning process. <br />HKGi designed and administered construction for several projects in Chanhassen parks including Rice Marsh Lake Trail and Lake Ann Park (above right). <br />Other planning projects include planning and environmental review for Chanhassen’s growth area (above left). <br />City of New BrightoN, MiNNesota 26
