7 <br /> <br />days it went down 6 inches. Commissioner Brunell also heard from <br />neighbors that the Hansen fields are being taken away, yet the Lions Park <br />is getting a new field. Parks Superintendent Chris Wolla stated fields #3 <br />and #4 will now be improved and will be youth fields. Lions Park will <br />become the field that teams that used to play on Hansen #3 and #4. Also, <br />while #1 and #2 are down at Hansen, we will be able to use the two fields <br />up at Sunnyside Elementary School. <br />Hansen: Fields. Noticed on East tennis court, the surface is peeling. Five <br />lights are out; two new ones in the past week. The new air conditioner is <br />now being used as a means to get on the Hansen roof. A portable toilet is <br />not at Hansen for disc golfers. <br />Hidden Oaks: Quade. The park looked good. <br />Innsbruck: Kunesh-Podein. It looks fine. <br />Meadow Wood: Eischen. Nice weather, many people out enjoying the <br />park and the nice weather. Everything looked good. <br />Silver Oaks/Totem Pole: Justin. Silver Oaks was wet. The last few visits <br />there were more people on the paths and around the park. Totem Pole, <br />basketball court being used again with nicer weather. <br />Sunny Square/Vermont: McEathron. Vermont did well, soccer nets ok. <br />Sunny Square looks good too. Assistant Director Jason Hicks stated we <br />had to close the rinks before President’s day because of the wa rm <br />weather. <br /> Veterans: Stenglein. No report. <br /> <br />E. Department Happenings / upcoming events <br />Assistant Director Jason Hicks stated: <br /> We did have a trip to Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank and the Nicolet <br />Island Inn. <br /> Over 200 children participated in Parks and Recreation programs from ice <br />skating lessons to dance, gymnastics, martial arts. <br /> March 17 is Adventure Day; spring break. <br /> The Parks and Recreation Summer Brochure is out. <br />Commissioner Fields stated his appreciation to Chair Kunesh-Podein and <br />Commissioner Parker. <br />Commissioner Parker stated he enjoyed seeing the increase in hockey up at <br />Sunny Square over the last few years.
