Call to Order <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:32 p.m. by Chair Fields. <br /> <br />II. Roll Call <br />Members Present: Commissioners Axberg, Brunell, Eischen, Fields, Johnson, <br />Justin, McEathron, Quade, Stenglein <br />Members Absent: None <br />Also Present: Assistant Director Jason Hicks, Parks Superintendent Chris Wolla <br />and Council Liaison Mary Burg. <br /> <br />III. Approval of Agenda <br />MOTION BY COMMISSIONER JUSTIN, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />AXBERG TO ADD ITEM DISCUSSION ABOUT WHEN TO HOLD THE JULY <br />MEETING. MOTION CARRIED. <br /> <br />MOTION BY COMMISSIONER JUSTIN, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />STENGLEIN TO APPROVE THE AGENDA WITH THE ADDED DISCUSSION <br />ITEM. MOTION CARRIED. <br /> <br />IV. Approval of Minutes: <br /> A. May 3, 2017 Minutes <br />MOTION BY COMMISSINER EISCHEN, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />MCEATHRON, TO APPROVE THE MAY 3, 2017 MINUTES AS <br />SUBMITTED. MOTION CARRIED. <br /> B. May 10, 2017 Minutes <br />MOTION BY COMMISSIONER JOHNSON, SECONDED BY <br />COMMISSIONER JUSTIN, TO APPROVE THE MAY 10, 2017 MINUTES AS <br />SUBMITTED. MOTION CARRIED. COMMISSIONER AXBERG ABSTAINED <br />BECAUSE SHE WAS NOT PRESENT FOR THE MEETING. <br /> <br />V. Old Business <br /> A. Dedicated Outdoor Pickleball Courts <br />Acting Director, Jason Hicks, gave a presentation on Pickleball for the <br />residents present at the meeting and the viewing audience at home. This <br />included information about the sport, PREC discussion and how they came to <br />recommend Pickleball Courts at Hidden Oaks Park. <br /> <br />Chair Fields thanked the residents for coming to this meeting to discuss the <br />Pickleball issue at Hidden Oaks. Residents who would like to speak were <br />asked to come up to the podium and give their name and address. <br /> Maurice Wolf, 2670 14th Street NW, wants to keep the tennis courts <br />available at Hidden Oaks. Understand the court is striped for pickleball <br />also. Have seen a fair amount of tennis players out there sometimes both <br />courts are being used; but not heavily used. Have not seen anyone
