January 23, 2018 Page 5 of 5 Emily Dunsworth Councilmember Dunsworth stated she was looking forward to serving as the liaison to the Planning Commission. She reported the neighborhood bonfire would be held this weekend at Freedom Park at 6:00 p.m. She noted non-perishable food items would be collected at this community event. Mary Sura Councilmember Burg reported PREC would be meeting next on Wednesday, February 7th at 6:30 p.m. She commented on the grand reopening ceremony that was held at Cub Foods and encouraged New Brighton residents to frequent this local grocery store. Paul Jacobsen Councilmember Jacobsen reported the Council held the first round of interviews for the Inclusive Community Task Force. He encouraged those interested in serving on a City Commission to contact City Hall for further information on the open seats. He stated the Public Safety Commission would meet next on Monday, February 12th at City Hall at 6:00 p.m. He reminded the public that on -street parking was not allowed after a 3" or greater snow event. Mayor Johnson Mayor Johnson thanked the Public Works Department for their great work in clearing the City out after the recent snowstorm. She stated she was excited to see the Council moving forward with interviews for the Inclusive Community Task Force. She encouraged anyone who was interested in serving with this group with contact City Hall for further information. She thanked the Bartz Brothers for completing another fine snow sculpture in the City of New Brighton. She reported she and Councilmembers Allen and Dunsworth would be attending training sponsored by the League of Minnesota Cities on Friday and Saturday of this week.
