January 23, 2018 Page 5 of 5 <br />Emily Dunsworth <br />Councilmember Dunsworth stated she was looking forward to serving as the liaison to the <br />Planning Commission. She reported the neighborhood bonfire would be held this weekend at <br />Freedom Park at 6:00 p.m. She noted non-perishable food items would be collected at this <br />community event. <br />Mary Sura <br />Councilmember Burg reported PREC would be meeting next on Wednesday, February 7th at <br />6:30 p.m. She commented on the grand reopening ceremony that was held at Cub Foods and <br />encouraged New Brighton residents to frequent this local grocery store. <br />Paul Jacobsen <br />Councilmember Jacobsen reported the Council held the first round of interviews for the <br />Inclusive Community Task Force. He encouraged those interested in serving on a City <br />Commission to contact City Hall for further information on the open seats. He stated the <br />Public Safety Commission would meet next on Monday, February 12th at City Hall at 6:00 p.m. <br />He reminded the public that on -street parking was not allowed after a 3" or greater snow event. <br />Mayor Johnson <br />Mayor Johnson thanked the Public Works Department for their great work in clearing the City <br />out after the recent snowstorm. She stated she was excited to see the Council moving forward <br />with interviews for the Inclusive Community Task Force. She encouraged anyone who was <br />interested in serving with this group with contact City Hall for further information. She <br />thanked the Bartz Brothers for completing another fine snow sculpture in the City of New <br />Brighton.
