C. Department Happenings/Upcoming Events
Director Fink reviewed a video with the Commission that highlighted all of the
accomplishments that occurred in 2017. She commented on the large number of
visitors visiting the new Eagle’s Nest. She explained revenues were up for this
amenity and noted there were approximately 415 visitors per day. She reported
staff was already beginning to take calls for volleyball, adventures, and adult
softball. She stated the City’s skating parks are open for use.

A commissioner described a recent visit he had made to the Eagle’s Nest with his
son. He asked how the Eagle’s Nest was holding up after heavy usage during the
Christmas break. Director Fink stated the structure was holding up very well, but
noted there were a couple minor maintenance issues that had been discussed with
the vendor.

Another commissioner asked if the vendor has been responsive to the City.
Director Fink reported the vendor (CRS) has been fantastic to work with.

VII. Adjournment

Motion by Axberg, second by McEathron, to adjourn the meeting at 7:50pm. Motion
carried 7-0.

Respectfully submitted,

Jennifer Fink
Director of Parks and Recreation
