<br /> <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR CITY COUNCIL CONSIDERATION <br /> <br />ITEM DESCRIPTION: Consideration of a Resolution accepting the 2017 Scholarship <br />Donations from the Kitchen Kut Ups Band per attached resolution. <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD’S APPROVAL: Jennifer Fink, Director of Parks and <br />Recreation <br /> <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER APPROVAL: <br /> <br /> <br />No comments to supplement this report _______ Comments attached ______ <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />Waive the reading and adopt the Resolution acknowledging the 2017 donation of $1,200 from the <br />Kitchen Kut Ups Band to the scholarship fund. <br /> <br />Legislative History: <br />None <br /> <br />Financial Impact: <br />These donations are important to New Brighton youth and families who may not be able to <br />register for Parks and Recreation programs without this financial assistance. <br /> <br />Explanation: <br />As in year’s past, the Kitchen Kut Ups Band has made several donations throughout 2016. The <br />donations listed below have been directed to the City Parks and Recreation Department <br />scholarship fund. These donations help low income families in New Brighton under the City <br />Parks and Recreation Department scholarship program. Families pay 50% of the registration fee <br />when they qualify for the scholarship program.
