February 27, 2018 Page 1 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held Tuesday <br />February 27, 2018 at 6:30 pm in the New Brighton Council Chambers. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Johnson, Councilmembers Allen, Dunsworth, and Jacobsen <br />Absent: Councilmember Burg <br /> <br />Also Present: Dean Lotter-City Manager, Dave Anderson-Acting City Attorney, Brenda Davitt- <br />Finance Director <br /> <br /> <br />Call to Order <br />Mayor Johnson called the meeting to order at 6:36 pm. <br /> <br />Pledge of Allegiance <br />Mayor Johnson led the Council in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />Mayor Johnson requested the Council have a moment in silence for the students and faculty <br />that died in the recent school shooting in Parkland, Florida. <br /> <br />Public Comment Forum <br />Mayor Johnson opened the Public Forum for comments from the public. <br /> <br />Approval of Agenda <br />Approval of the February 27, 2018 Council Agenda. <br /> <br />Councilmember Allen requested a change to the agenda adding to Special Order of Business a <br />Proclamation for the Tibetan Independence. <br />Mayor Johnson reported Jerry Hromatka was not able to attend this meeting which meant the <br />Council could remove Item 1 under Special Order of Business from the agenda. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Allen, seconded by Councilmember Jacobsen to approve the <br />agenda as amended. <br /> <br />4 Ayes, 0 Nays-Motion Carried <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br />Approval of the Council Worksession minutes from February 6, 2018. <br />Approval of the Council Worksession minutes from February 13, 2018. <br />Approval of the Council minutes from February 13, 2018. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Jacobsen, seconded by Councilmember Dunsworth to <br />approve the worksession minutes from the February 6, 2018 meeting. <br /> <br />4 Ayes, 0 Nays - Motion Carried <br />Call to Order <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Pledge of Allegiance <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Public Comment <br />Forum <br /> <br /> <br />Approval of Agenda <br />Approval of the <br />February 27, 2018 <br />Agenda. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br />Approval of Council <br />Minutes <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br />THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON
