April 24, 2018 Page 6 of 6 <br />or prescription drugs. <br /> <br />Graeme Allen <br />Councilmember Allen thanked City Manager Lotter and Planning Director Gundlach about a <br />taskforce meeting that would be held in Golden Valley regarding community housing. He <br />noted he would be attending this event. He thanked staff for removing the mountains of snow <br />after the recent snowstorm. He reported the EDC would be meeting next on Wednesday, May <br />2nd. <br /> <br />Mayor Johnson <br />Mayor Johnson discussed the appreciation luncheon and thanked all of the volunteers who give <br />back to the community. She stated the Community Partnership Award was presented to <br />Kitchen Kut-Ups and noted Dale Brinkman received the Volunteer of the Year Award. She <br />thanked the Kitchen Kut-Ups and Dale Brinkman for their dedicated service to New Brighton. <br />She reported the Inclusivity Community Taskforce met last week. She noted the group made <br />introductions and discussed their hopes for the taskforce. She explained this group appointed <br />Nasreen Fynewever as its Chair. She provided the Council with an update from the Capitol. <br />She invited the public to attend the wine tasting event being sponsored by the Lions at <br />Adagio’s on Wednesday, April 25th at 6:00 p.m. She encouraged the public to attend the City’s <br />Open House on Saturday, May 5th from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. It was noted the entire Council <br />would be in attendance and would be hosting a panel discussion.
