A sidewalk runs on the east
side of the road and intersects with Rice Creek Trail on the north side of the tracks.
Driveways and public intersections are over 100 feet from the crossing. The at-grade
crossing is controlled with cantilevered flashers and bells, and stop bars are
provided on each side of the tracks.

The surrounding land use is residential.

Long Lake Road North of the Mississippi Street Intersection
Long Lake Road is a two-lane roadway, with on-street bike lanes on each side of
the vehicle lanes. A sidewalk is provided on the west side of the road. Rice Creek
Trail is on the north side of the tracks to the west of this crossing and on the south
side of the tracks to the east of the crossing. As a result, there are numerous bicycle
and pedestrian crossings at this location. A driveway on the north side is located
approximately 50 feet from the tracks. Other driveways are located more than 60
feet from the crossing. The crossing is controlled with gates, flashers, and bells, and
stop bars on each side of the tracks.

The surrounding land use is primarily residential, with a commercial development in
the northeast quadrant.

Park Drive Within Long Lake Regional Park
The tracks split Long Lake Regional Park, separating key recreational areas from
the park’s primary entrances. Park Drive is a narrow two-lane road with a trail on the
south side. A second trail is located in the southwest quadrant of the crossing and
creates a triangle trail intersection area very close to the tracks. The crossing is
controlled with gates, flashers, and bells, and stop bars are provided on each side
of the tracks.

The surrounding land use is primarily recreational with bicycle paths and trails.

10th Street NW Between the 7th Avenue NW and Old Town Drive Intersections
Tenth Street is a four-lane undivided road with a sidewalk on the north side and on
the south side to the east of the tracks.
