Paetznick, Director of Public Safety <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER APPROVAL: <br /> <br /> <br />No comments to supplement this report _______ Comments attached ______ <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Direct City Clerk Terri Spangrud to conduct the Oath of Office for Police Officer Joseph Pyka. <br /> <br />Financial Impact: <br /> <br />Budgeted Police Officer position. <br /> <br />Explanation: <br /> <br />Police Officer Joseph Pyka is receiving his Oath of Office for the City of New Brighton. The <br />Oath of Office includes the affirmation that as a Police Officer that they will “swear that I will <br />support the Constitution of the United States of America and the State of MN and faithfully <br />discharge the duties of Police Officer”. <br /> <br />Earlier this summer, he successfully completed his fourteen week Field Training Officer (FTO) <br />program and is performing solo patrol duties.
