Minor Subdivision, SUP, and Site Plan Review; Silver Lake Smile <br />City Council Report; 8-28-18 <br /> <br /> <br />Page 14 <br />(cont.) Laura Miller (1215 Brighton Square) – concerned about potential lighting impacts <br />on the residential area to the north. Expressed concern about the look of the building <br />and how it would fit into the area. Was happy the building will provide a light and <br />sound barrier between her property and the development to the south. <br /> <br /> In response to the lighting concern, the applicant made it clear they wish to be great <br />neighbors, and they will take extra steps if necessary to correct any lighting issues <br />(although none are anticipated with the current design). <br /> <br /> <br />Conclusion: <br /> The application is requesting a Minor Subdivision, an SUP to authorize <br />construction within 30’ of Palmer Drive, and a Site Plan Review. <br />Recommendation: Both staff and the Planning Commission are <br />recommending APPROVAL of the requests with conditions. <br /> <br />Council Options: The City Council has the following options: <br />A) APPROVE THE REQUESTS based on the applicant’s submittals and <br />findings of fact. <br />B) DENY THE REQUESTS based on the applicant’s submittals and findings <br />of fact. <br />C) TABLE THE ITEMS and request additional information. <br />Based on an application date of 7/27/18, the 60-day review period for this <br />application expires on 9/25/2018. This deadline can be extended an additional 60 <br />days if more time is necessary. <br /> <br />Template Denial <br />Motion: <br />(not recommended) <br /> “I move that we deny the requested minor subdivision, special use permit, and <br />site plan based on the following findings of fact:” <br />o (provide findings to support your conclusion) <br /> <br />Template Approval <br />Motion: <br />RECOMMENDED <br /> “I move approval of the resolution to authorize the requested minor <br />subdivision, special use permit, and site plan based on the findings of fact <br />listed on page 15 of the report subject to the conditions listed on pages 15 & <br />16 as may have been amended here tonight.”
