Copy <br />the <br />suggested <br />A system-wide park and trail facilities wayfinding system, and <br />a way of communicating about it, should be considered as a <br />way to better connect residents and visitors to park amenities <br />throughout the city. <br />Enhancement made <br />Parks 76 Intergovernmental Cooperation <br />Collaboration and cooperation with other regional units of <br />government (Ramsey County, Rice Creek Watershed District, <br />adjacent cities, and school districts 282 and 621) is of <br />importance to the City of New Brighton. Regional collaboration <br />and cooperation can expand opportunities to connect to <br />regional amenities, provide a stronger economic base and draw <br />for the New Brighton area, and to improve the quality and <br />Add Copy and <br />paste. Add <br />the the <br />suggested <br />language, <br />located in <br />column F, <br />after the <br />New Brighton has partnered with the Active Living Ramsey <br />Communities initiative for over ten years. This initiative <br />improves health through community engagement. It promotes <br />and creates environments that make it safe and easy for <br />everyone to integrate physical activity into their daily routine. <br />The city will continue collaborating to encourage walking, <br />biking, and active living as a way of life throughout the city and <br />county. <br />Addition Made <br />Parks 76 Community Engagement activities for New Brighton 2040 <br />revealed a strong desire from the community to have a trails <br />network that establishes connections with other regional trail <br />systems. Some systems cited in comments include the Grand <br />Rounds, the Minneapolis Trail System, and the Ramsey County <br />trail system. Because of New Brighton’s unique position, <br />bordering three counties, and multiple municipalities, as well as <br />the regional impacts the TCAAP development could have for <br />recreation and trails the forthcoming Master Parks and Trails <br />plan will have to engage early with various entities. Building <br />connections to these existing and planned trail systems will be <br />No Change N/A N/A N/A
