With so many rental options available for residents and non-residents, the
Meeting and Event Coordinator role continues to be customer focused, with the
majority of the workday concentrated on returning client calls and emails,
providing facility rental information, working with reserved groups on their room
set-up needs, account questions, event preparation and providing facility tours.
In addition to customer related tasks, this role also focuses on providing staff with
facility schedules and reports, updating the Parks and Recreation website pages,
scheduling part-time facility staff, updating marketing content, and participation in
other Parks and Recreation committees.

A new year is also the time to plan ahead for the future and a perfect opportunity
to implement procedural changes that will make renting facilities better for the
clients and staff alike. With ideas to improve the facilities themselves (carpet, AV
equipment, aesthetic changes), to changing the way in which customers rent
facilities (deposits, online rentals, field reservations), 2018-2019 will be a chance
to improve upon the policies, facilities, and procedures in order to maintain
efficiencies, quality, and customer satisfaction.
