2 <br />I. INCIDENT RESPONSE INFORMATION <br /> <br />On January 6, an officer in the area of the 1100 block of Pike Lake Drive was on a <br />unrelated call when they noticed the odor of natural gas in the area. Fire Chief Schute <br />responded. With the assistance of a device used to detect natural gas, a leak was <br />discovered at the meter of a nearby home. The homeowner and Xcel was notified. <br /> <br />On January 9th at about 9:00pm, Officer Wodnick was on routine patrol and ran the <br />license plate of a passing vehicle in the area of Silver Lake Road and 694. Officer <br />Wodnick found the registered owner of the vehicle had a warrant for 3rd Degree DWI <br />and the driver matched the description of the registered owner. A felony traffic stop was <br />conducted and the driver was determined to be the registered owner and was placed under <br />arrest. An inventory search of the vehicle revealed .6 gramps of suspected <br />methamphetamine. The female was booked into the Ramsey County Jail for the warrant <br />and possession of meth. <br /> <br />On January 12, Officer Kostohryz conducts a traffic stop on a vehicle for failure to <br />maintain lane. A strong smell of marijuana was noticed coming from vehicle. The driver <br />admitted to having marijuana in vehicle and possibly on his person. During search of <br />driver, a white powdery substance was found in his pant’s pocket. The driver stated the <br />substance was cocaine. The driver was placed under arrest. A further search revealed the <br />driver to be in possession of cocaine, heroin, oxycodone, marijuana, and a large sum of <br />money. A search of the vehicle revealed a large amount of marijuana and scale. The <br />driver was booked at Ramsey County LEC for Felony Possession of Controlled <br />Substance. The vehicle and cash were held pending forfeiture. <br /> <br />On January 13, squads were dispatched on a male refusing to pay and refusing to leave. <br />The officers assisted in attempting to help the male pay for his drinks. The male was <br />unable to pay and he would not provide officer's an address for his house. The party was <br />transported to detox. <br /> <br />On Sunday, January 14th at 5:30pm, an unknown black male, approximately 30-40 years <br />old, 5’8” with an average build and wearing all black clothing, entered the Dairy Queen <br />on Old Highway 8 and displayed a handgun while demanding cash from the register. He <br />fled with about $100 cash and headed west toward the Oak Grove trailer park. A <br />perimeter was established but officers were unsuccessful in locating him. Surveillance <br />video cameras captured the incident. Nobody was hurt during the robbery. <br /> <br />On Sunday, January 14, Officers responded to the Exchange Food & Drink around <br />7:20pm on an intoxicated male in the establishment causing a disturbance. Upon making <br />contact with the subject, he told officers that he had an active warrant for his arrest. <br />Officers confirmed the gross misdemeanor warrant and transported him to jail for <br />booking. <br /> <br />On Sunday, January 14th around 11pm, officers responded to LA Fitness on report of two <br />males who were inside a snowplow truck that did not belong to them. Investigation <br />determined that they were intoxicated and had sought refuge inside the warm vehicle as <br />their cell phone batteries had died. The vehicle owner did not want to press charges. <br />Officers helped the subjects arrange for a ride home.
