2 <br /> <br />I. INCIDENT RESPONSE INFORMATION <br /> <br />On July 1st, New Brighton squads responded on a call to check the welfare of a male <br />party who appeared to be sleeping next to a business in the 2000 block of Silver lake <br />Road. Upon their arrival, they located an extremely intoxicated 65 year old male. He <br />was transported to detox due to his level of intoxication. <br /> <br />On July 6th around 8:40pm, New Brighton officers assisted Roseville Police with a high- <br />risk traffic stop of a stolen vehicle in the City of Roseville near the border on County <br />Road D. Three suspects were taken into custody without further incident. <br /> <br />On July 7th around 8:20am, A disgruntled boyfriend who had been kicked out of an <br />apartment the previous night in the 1400 block of 20th Avenue NW returned to the unit <br />and assaulted his girlfriend’s son before fleeing the scene on foot. Officers later returned <br />to the property on a report that the suspect was seen at the back door. While searching <br />for the suspect, officers heard footsteps on the roof of the building. They climbed the <br />ladder to the roof hatch and found the suspect hiding up top. He was arrested and booked <br />for Domestic Assault. <br /> <br />On the afternoon of July 7th, officers responded to a suicidal female who had relapsed on <br />methamphetamine, was hallucinating, and wanted to drink a jug of 409 cleaner while <br />taking all her pills. Officers successfully used Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) skills to <br />get her outside to an ambulance so that she could be transported to the hospital for further <br />mental health evaluation. <br /> <br />On July 7th, New Brighton squads assisted Roseville PD with stopping and taking 3 <br />parties into custody who were in a stolen vehicle. <br /> <br />On July 7th, Officer Pyka stops a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the stop, Officer <br />Pyka observes a rear seat passenger ingest an unknown substance which was believed to <br />be a controlled substance. An emergency transport hold was placed on the passenger. <br />The driver gave a false name of a real person and ended up being arrested for giving <br />False Info. to a Police Officer. <br /> <br />On the afternoon of July 8th, a female victim returning home from church with her sister <br />and was ambushed by her husband in the third floor hallway of the County Road D <br />apartments. The suspect punched the victim and slammed her head against the fire <br />extinguisher case breaking the glass, knocking her unconscious and collapsing to the <br />floor. The victim was transported to HCMC by Allina. The suspect fled the scene but <br />later turned himself into officers at the Public Safety Center. He was arrested and booked <br />at the Ramsey County Jail. <br /> <br />Shortly before 5am on the morning of July 9th, the gas station convenience store at I- <br />35W/County Road E-2 was robbed at knife point of about $250 from the cash register. <br />The clerk was not injured. The suspect was wearing a ski mask and gloves. They fled <br />from the scene on foot. A canine search of the area was unsuccessful. The suspect <br />description matched that of robberies that occurred earlier in the night in Elk River and <br />Coon Rapids.
