3 <br /> <br />On July 14th, a victim reported more than $9,000 cash was taken from an envelope in his <br />vehicle while he paid for gas at the BP gas station on Silver Lake Road. Surveillance <br />video captured a possible suspect vehicle that registered to a rental company. The victim <br />had just cashed a check at a nearby bank. The reporting officer is awaiting follow-up <br />from the rental agency. <br /> <br />On July 15th, New Brighton squads assisted Ramsey County Child Protection who <br />received information of a party who had delivered a baby at home with no prenatal care. <br />Squads confirmed the report and found the home to be dirty and unsanitary. The <br />information was forwarded to Child Protection. The next day squads assisted Child <br />Protection with the removal of 2 children from the home. <br /> <br />On July 15th, DWI Officer Don Kostohyrz stopped a vehicle after routine checks showed <br />that the registered owner had an active misdemeanor warrant and a revoked driving <br />status, and the driver matched the physical description. When stopped, the driver initially <br />gave a false date of birth, but eventually was identified as the registered owner. He was <br />arrested for the outstanding warrant and also cited for false information to police and <br />driving after revocation. <br /> <br />On Sunday, July 15th around 8:30pm, officers responded to a reported overdose at a <br />residence. A family member had already given the victim Narcan and started lifesaving <br />efforts prior to the arrival of first responders. The victim was already coming around <br />when officers arrived. Allina transported the victim to the hospital for further evaluation. <br /> <br />On July 16th, New Brighton squads were dispatched on a unconscious 20 year old. Upon <br />arrival, they discovered a an extremely intoxicated female who had possibly ingested an <br />unknown type of narcotic. She was transported to the hospital by ambulance. <br /> <br />On the evening of July 16th, patrons of the Acapulco restaurant got into an argument in <br />the parking lot with the suspect spraying the victim with “mace” before fleeing the scene. <br />Criminal charges are pending. <br /> <br />On July 18th, officers linked a series of incidents that identified a suspect based on video <br />evidence and a police report from Fridley. The activities included: a garage burglary of <br />an occupied residence in the 1300 block of Mississippi Street where a red mountain <br />bicycle was stolen; a suspicious incident in the 400 block of 14th St NW where a white <br />male on a red bicycle approached a residence with an open garage door, rang the <br />doorbell, and then walked back toward the open garage door where he met the <br />homeowner inside the garage before quickly leaving on the red bicycle; a backpack <br />recovered in the backyard in the 2400 block of Mounds Avenue; and a reported stolen <br />vehicle from Fridley found abandoned in the parking lot of 2100 Silver Lake Road. <br /> <br />On July 18th, the driver of a vehicle provided false information to a police officer when <br />she was stopped for driving without headlights. She admitted to using her sister’s name <br />due to having active warrants for her arrest, both a gross misdemeanor DWI and <br />misdemeanor for drugs. In addition to the warrants, she was charged with gross <br />misdemeanor false info to police. <br />
