5 <br />inspection and service of New Brighton Aerial 498, the ladder truck was out of service. <br />Lake Johanna Fire was requested to provide a ladder truck for support at the fire scene. <br />There were no injuries to responders or residents. The cause of the fire is still under <br />investigation. <br /> <br /> <br />On August 21st, squads responded to Cowboy Jacks on a welfare check of a male <br />sleeping on the steps. They located a male who was snoring and breathing heavy. They <br />woke him up with a sternum rub. He was disoriented and smelled heavily of alcohol. He <br />was given a Preliminary Breath Test. On a weak sample, he registered a .24. The party <br />said he lived alone and had no friends or family to care for him for the night. He was <br />transported to Ramsey County Detox. <br /> <br />On August 21st at 11:05pm, officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of 27th Avenue <br />NW for a report of a car versus pedestrian. Officers arrived on scene with Allina medics <br />and administered first aid to the victim who was transported to Hennepin County Medical <br />Center. The initial investigation indicated the pedestrian was crossing the street to their <br />mailbox and may have stepped in front of the vehicle. <br /> <br />On August 22nd, squads were dispatched to a 911 hang up call. Upon arrival, the <br />complainant said they had been robbed and an additional two other victims had been <br />punched and kicked. The three suspects fled on foot. Squads were able to locate all three <br />suspects within the next hour and a half. All three were arrested for robbery. One was <br />booked at the Ramsey County jail and the other two were juveniles and were booked at <br />the juvenile detention center. All three were booked for robbery. <br /> <br />On August 23rd, New Brighton squads assisted St Anthony PD with robbery at Smash <br />Burger. Squads assisted with maintaining a perimeter and K-9 search. The suspects were <br />not located.
