COMMUNITY POLICING AND CRIME AND FIRE PREVENTION <br />ACTIVITIES <br /> <br />This section contains information on our community policing, fire and crime prevention <br />activities. <br /> <br />On Friday August 3rd, the Fire Division hosted the annual story time at the Fire Station <br />in cooperation with the Ramsey County Library. Director Paetznick and Firefighter Reif <br />each read a story. The children were also given a sticker badge and fire truck tours. 141 <br />children and 73 adults attended the story time! <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />On August 6th, the southeast New Brighton neighborhood held their celebration a day <br />early with Firefighter Jeremy Berger providing a kitchen fire safety demonstration to <br />attendees. Also, Community Engagement Officer Brad Krebsbach attended the Ralph <br />Reeder Food Shelf Farmers Market at the Community Center on Tuesday morning, and <br />early NNO gatherings during the afternoon at three senior-living facilities, including <br />Meadowood Shores, Brightondale, and Crossroads of New Brighton. <br /> <br />On August 28th, Community Engagement Officer Brad Krebsbach hosted a summertime <br />barbecue for members of the Volunteers in Public Safety (VIPS) to celebrate their busy <br />month of volunteerism with National Night Out and Stockyard Days activities. <br />
