Vehicle towed to <br />maintenance. <br /> <br />On October 26, Officer Xiong stopped an Uber driver who was chewing Khat at the time <br />he stopped him. The driver was arrested for a Drug DWI and more Khat was located in <br />the vehicle. A warrant for a blood draw was obtained. The driver was booked for <br />Possession of a Controlled Substance and DWI. <br /> <br />On October 27, Officer Wodnick observed a vehicle traveling eastbound on I-694. The <br />vehicle crossed over the right fog line multiple times from Silver Lake Road NW to Long <br />Lake Road NW. The driver admitted to drinking two beers and Officer Wodnick could <br />smell an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his mouth. The driver failed field <br />sobriety tests. The driver was arrested for DWI and agreed to take a breath test which <br />revealed a BAC of .15. The driver was transported to the LEC and booked for 4th degree <br />DWI. <br /> <br />Mounds View Police hosted the TZD Hi-Viz DWI Saturation on Friday, October 27, <br />2018 from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. Nine over-time funded and eight volunteer reserve officers <br />produced the following: <br /> <br />• 72 traffic stops <br />• 5 people taken to jail <br />• 5 DWI arrests <br />• 4 drivers cited for DAR/DAS <br />• 3 vehicles towed <br /> <br />Notes: A St. Paul Officer stopped a vehicle for speeding. The “Vampire” who was <br />driving the vehicle failed SFST’s, agreed to a breath (not blood) sample, and DMT’d at a <br />0.10 AC (4th degree DWI). White Bear Lake Reserve Officers notified dispatch of a <br />vehicle that was traveling under the limit and failing to maintain its lane on w/b 694. <br />After the vehicle was stopped it was discovered that the occupants had just attended a <br />“GWAR” concert and were covered in fake blood. The driver failed SFST’s and DMT’d <br />at .16 AC (3rd Degree DWI). New Brighton Officer Farmer got into a motor vehicle <br />pursuit that was called off due to unsafe conditions. <br /> <br /> <br />IV.
