Councilmember Burg stated she was proud of the non -property tax revenues that the City of New Brighton had <br />in place. She requested further information on the Golden Valley budget. Davitt reviewed the Golden Valley <br />budget in further detail with the Council. <br />Lotter thanked the Council for having responsible discussions surrounding the budget and appreciated the fact <br />that the City Council was working towards debt free streets. He believed the proposed budget was very sound. <br />He understood the percentage was a perceived obstacle and encouraged the Council to continue <br />communicating with the public. <br />Mayor Johnson thanked staff for the insight and explained she appreciated the fact the Council was working <br />towards debt free streets as well. <br />Councilmember Jacobsen thanked staff for all of their work on the budget for the coming year. <br />Councilmember Allen thanked staff for being creative and assisting the Council in working through the budget. <br />Councilmember Burg stated she appreciated the fact the City was planning ahead in order to reach its financial <br />goals. <br />Mayor Johnson thanked the residents for their understanding.
