<br />Page 3 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />Discussion included: <br /> The EDA suggested a restaurant be located onsite to accommodate those staying at the <br />hotel. <br /> The need for further amenities and restaurants in New Brighton was discussed. <br />(3) Status Updates on Large Redevelopment Projects (Benedictine & New Brighton <br />Elementary) <br />Schlichting reported the Benedictine Health Center Preliminary PRD was conditionally approved <br />by Council in February. Final plans must meet all conditions of approval, and can only be <br />accepted and approved once the City’s Comprehensive Plan is approved by the Metropolitan <br />Council. He commented on the continuum of care that will be provided by Benedictine for <br />those aging in the community. <br />Schlichting stated the developers for the New Brighton Elementary area have submitted some <br />preliminary plan sets for review and comment by staff. Staff will be providing guidance on <br />needed updates and revisions that must be addressed upon submittal of a complete <br />application. An Environmental Assessment Worksheet was determined to be required, so a <br />draft document is currently being prepared and must be in at least draft form prior to the <br />Preliminary PRD application being considered complete. <br />Discussion included: <br /> The EDA thanked staff for the update on these projects. <br />VII.
