<br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />V. Report from City Council Liaison <br />Councilmember Dunsworth provided the Commission with an update from the City Council. She <br />stated the Council recently approved the 2020 budget and tax levy. She noted the City was replacing <br />all water meters and explained there were some non-compliant homes. She reported notices would <br />be sent to these homeowners. <br />VI. Public Hearing <br />1) Ordinances to bring the Comprehensive Plan Land Use Map and Official Zoning Map into <br />Consistency <br />a. Ordinance 869: An ordinance to rezone multiple properties throughout the City to bring <br />each into compliance with the adopted 2040 Comprehensive Plan as required by State <br />Statute. <br />Assistant Director of Community Assets and Development Gozola reported Ordinance 869 will <br />implement a number of zoning changes necessary to bring both maps into consistency with one <br />another. Only one proposed change is in response to a property owner request, and all other <br />changes will simply correct long-standing mapping problems on the City’s official maps. Staff <br />provided further comment on the nine proposed rezonings and recommended approval of the <br />Ordinance. <br />Chair Nichols-Matkaiti opened the Public Hearing at 7:15 p.m. <br />Commissioner Frischman asked if the zoning for the property at 1001 and 1021 County Road E <br />would have a special notation within the Comprehensive Plan to note the future use. Assistant <br />Director of Community Assets and Development Gozola reported a special notation would be <br />made in the Comprehensive Plan. <br />Bill Kowalik, landowner of 1001 and 1021 County Road E, asked if the zoning was changing at this <br />time. Assistant Director of Community Assets and Development Gozola explained the zoning <br />would remain Industrial and would only change if the property owner or future property owner <br />made a request. <br />Joanna Pucklich, 1110 Bent Tree Hills Drive, requested clarification on how the City defines <br />duplex and single-family home. Assistant Director of Community Assets and Development Gozola <br />reviewed those definitions in further detail. <br />Mike Blocks, 100 Windham Circle, questioned how the City defined condominium versus <br />townhome. Assistant Director of Community Assets and Development Gozola provided the <br />definitions for condominium and townhouse. <br />Tom Hoyle, 1181 Third Street, expressed concern with the way the map was completed because <br />it looked like Hanson Park was going away. Assistant Director of Community Assets and <br />Development Gozola reported no changes were proposed to any of t he City’s parks.
