<br /> <br /> Staff showed the Commission a brief video on the muralist that would be used to <br />assist the City with the Community Center project. <br /> The Commission thanked City staff for their great work in keeping the streets free <br />and clear of snow. <br /> <br />VI. Announcements <br /> <br />A. City Council Report – Councilmember Paul Jacobsen <br /> <br />Councilmember Jacobsen reported the Council appointed members to a Comprehensive <br />Park System Plan Steering Committee. He noted this group was scheduled to meet on <br />Tuesday, April 16th. He commented on the report the Council received from the Inclusive <br />Community Task Force. He stated the City had scheduled two Park Neighborhood meetings <br />which were to be held on Thursday, February 21st and Thursday, March 21st. He invited the <br />public to attend the March 21st meeting which will be held at Sunnyside Park at 6:00 p.m. <br />He explained the Council finished their interviews for Commission/Committee positions and <br />noted appointments would be made by April 1st. <br /> <br />B. PREC Chair Updates – Kevin Fields <br /> <br />Chair Fields invited the public to attend the neighborhood meeting on Thursday, March 21st <br />at Sunnyside Park at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />C. Department Happenings and Upcoming Events – City Staff <br /> <br />Director Fink reported the Council received an update from Rise at their last meeting. She <br />explained Rise was thriving in their new space at the Community Center and has requested <br />to double their space in order to serve 34 adults in their day program. She noted the <br />farmer’s market would be moving into the upper parking lot at the Community Center for <br />the summer of 2019. She explained CPY recently held their spring luncheon at the <br />Community Center. She commented on an event CPY was planning for young girls to <br />encourage and inspire them. She discussed several staffing changes that occurred at the <br />Community Center and noted some reorganization would be occurring within the staffing <br />model. <br /> <br />VII.
